Polenta (pre-cooked corn meal semolina)

This pre-cooked corn meal semolina is naturally gluten-free and can be cooked in no time at all: 3 minutes! Endlessly versatile in shape and colour, it is a great way to vary recipes.

Using the product

As a purée: 

  • Step 1: In a saucepan, bring 4 l of milk to the boil with a pinch of salt 
  • Step 2: Sprinkle in the 1 kg sachet and keep stirring for 3 minutes 
  • Step 3: Serve immediately! 500 g dry polenta = 8 to 10 cooked portions

Gratinée: 

  • Step 1: Prepare the polenta purée as described in the purée instructions above. 
  • Step 2: Pour the purée into a gratin dish and add the ingredients of your choice: grated cheese, bacon, mushrooms 
  • Step 3: Brown for about ten minutes under the grill and it’s ready!

Pan-fried: 

  • Step 1: Prepare the polenta purée 
  • Step 2: Spread the purée on a baking sheet to form a 2-3 cm layer and leave to firm up 
  • Step 3: Slice the polenta into the shape of your choice and brown the slices in an oiled frying pan over high heat for 2 minutes on each side.
